As a busy marketer, you know that video is essential for a successful Kickstarter campaign. But you don't have time to learn complex editing software or wait days for a production team. You need a fast, efficient way to turn your product page into compelling video ads that grab attention and drive pledges. That's where Link to Video comes in.

Why Link to Video Beats Traditional Video Production

Traditional video production involves scripting, shooting, editing, and multiple revisions. It's time-consuming and expensive. For a Kickstarter campaign, you need to iterate quickly, testing different angles and messages. Link to Video lets you generate ad-ready videos directly from your product URL, cutting down the time from idea to publish from weeks to minutes. Instead of hiring a crew, you can focus on optimizing your campaign strategy.

Step-by-Step: Creating a Kickstarter Video with Link to Video

Here's a practical workflow to get you from product URL to polished video ads.

Step 1: Prepare Your Product URL

Make sure your Kickstarter page is live and includes high-quality images and a clear product description. The better your page, the better the AI can understand your product. If your campaign isn't live yet, you can use a pre-launch page or a product detail page from your website.

Step 2: Access Link to Video

Go to Link to Video and sign in. If you're new, you'll get 21 signup credits to try the feature without a credit card.

Step 3: Paste Your URL and Configure Settings

Paste your Kickstarter URL into the designated field. Then, choose your preferred model, aspect ratio, and duration. For Kickstarter ads, a vertical format (9:16) works well for social media, while a square (1:1) is good for in-feed placements. You can also select a style or mood that matches your brand.

Step 4: Generate and Review

Click generate. The AI will analyze your page and create a video script and visuals. Review the output. You can regenerate if you want a different take. The typical cost is around 10 credits per video, but it depends on the model and settings.

Step 5: Edit and Enhance

Once you have a base video, you can use the AI Video Studio to add effects, adjust motion, or extend the video. For example, you can add text overlays for your campaign's key selling points or a call-to-action.

Step 6: Export and Use

Export your video in the desired resolution. Then, upload it to your Kickstarter page, social media, or ad platform. You can also use the UGC Ad Video feature to create additional variations for paid social.

Prompts and Tips for Better Kickstarter Videos

While Link to Video automates the process, you can guide the AI with specific prompts. Here are a few to try:

"Create a 15-second video highlighting the problem my product solves, with a clear call-to-action to back the campaign."
"Generate a video that emphasizes the product's unique features and benefits, using a modern and energetic style."
"Make a video that tells a story about how the product was invented, appealing to early adopters."

Also, consider these parameter tips:

Use a shorter duration (10-15 seconds) for social media ads to keep retention high.
Choose a model that supports high resolution if you plan to use the video on your Kickstarter page.
Always check the live model selector for the latest options and credit costs.

Common Pitfalls to Avoid

Not optimizing your product page: The AI relies on your page's content. If your images are low-quality or your description is vague, the video will reflect that.
Ignoring aspect ratios: Different platforms require different formats. Make sure you generate the right aspect ratio for your target channel.
Skipping the review: Always review the generated video. AI can sometimes miss context or produce something off-brand. Regenerate if needed.
Forgetting to check credits: Keep an eye on your credit balance. While 21 free credits are a great start, you may need a paid plan for more extensive testing.

While Link to Video is your go-to for turning URLs into videos, other tools can help you create a full suite of assets:

UGC Ad Video: Generate authentic-looking user-generated content ads for social proof.
AI Product Image Generator: Create stunning product images for your campaign page and ads.
Pricing: Check the latest plans and credit allowances to choose the best fit for your needs.
