Launching a Kickstarter campaign in 2026 means you need compelling video creatives that grab attention and convert backers. But creating product videos from scratch is time-consuming and expensive. What if you could turn your existing product page into a video automatically? That's exactly what Van Gogh Studio's Link to Video feature does. In this guide, you'll learn a practical workflow to generate ad-ready videos from your Kickstarter URL, saving you hours and helping you launch faster.

Why Use Link to Video for Your Kickstarter?

You have two main options for creating Kickstarter video ads: hire a video editor or use an AI tool. Hiring a professional can cost hundreds of dollars and take days. AI tools like Van Gogh Studio's Link to Video let you paste your product URL and get a video in minutes. It's faster, cheaper, and you can iterate on multiple versions without breaking the bank. Plus, you can generate videos for different ad platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) by tweaking the input.

Step-by-Step Workflow: From URL to Video

Step 1: Prepare Your Product Page

Before you start, ensure your Kickstarter page (or product page) is live and contains high-quality images and clear product descriptions. The AI will extract information from the URL, so the better your page, the better the video. If you don't have a live page yet, you can use a product image and a text prompt instead.

Step 2: Go to Link to Video

Navigate to the Link to Video page on Van Gogh Studio. You'll see a simple input field where you can paste your URL.

Step 3: Paste Your URL and Adjust Settings

Paste your Kickstarter URL into the input box. Then, choose your preferred aspect ratio (e.g., 16:9 for YouTube, 9:16 for Stories), duration, and model. Van Gogh Studio offers multiple AI models like Kling, Sora 2, Veo 3.1, and more. For product videos, we recommend starting with a model known for realistic rendering, but you can experiment. Note that availability and parameters may vary, so check the live model selector.

Step 4: Generate and Review

Click the generate button. The AI will analyze your URL and produce a video. This typically takes a few minutes. Once done, review the video. If it's not perfect, you can tweak the settings or add a prompt to guide the AI.

Step 5: Enhance with Effects or Extend

If you want to make the video more engaging, use Van Gogh Studio's Video Studio to add effects, extend the video, or upscale it. For example, you can add a zoom effect or change the background. This step is optional but can make your ad stand out.

Step 6: Download and Use

Once you're happy with the video, download it in your preferred resolution. You can now use it in your Kickstarter campaign page, social media ads, or email marketing.

Reusable Prompts and Parameter Tips

While Link to Video works automatically, you can sometimes add a text prompt to guide the style. Here are a few prompts you can try:

"Show the product in a lifestyle setting, with natural lighting and a happy customer using it."
"Create a dynamic ad with quick cuts and bold text overlay."
"Focus on the product's unique features with close-up shots."

Parameter tips:

For social media ads, use 9:16 aspect ratio.
For YouTube pre-roll, use 16:9.
Shorter videos (5-10 seconds) tend to perform better for ads.

Common Pitfalls to Avoid

Using a low-quality product page: If your page has blurry images or sparse text, the AI may produce a poor video. Ensure your page is polished.
Ignoring aspect ratio: Different platforms require different ratios. Check where you'll post the video and choose accordingly.
Not reviewing the output: AI isn't perfect. Always review the generated video and make adjustments if needed.
Forgetting to check credit costs: Each generation uses credits. New accounts get 21 signup credits, and typical usage is about 10 credits per video, but costs vary. Keep an eye on your balance.
