You have a product to promote, a Notion template to sell, or a course to launch. You know video content performs, but you don't have time to edit, animate, or record. AI video tools promise speed, but many still require a steep learning curve. This guide walks you through a practical workflow using Van Gogh Studio's AI Video Studio, so you can turn a simple idea into a polished marketing video in minutes.

Why AI Video Studio Beats Traditional Editing

Traditional video editing is time-consuming: you need to shoot footage, cut clips, add text, and sync audio. AI video generation flips that model. Instead of editing, you describe what you want, and the AI creates the visuals. For busy marketers and Notion creators, this means you can produce product demos, social ads, and explainer videos without a production team.

Van Gogh Studio's AI Video Studio is an all-in-one tool that gives you access to multiple AI models (like Kling, Sora 2, Veo 3.1, and more) in one place. You can go from text to video, image to video, or even turn a product URL into an ad-ready video. The key advantage is iteration: you can quickly test different styles and tweak prompts until you get the result you want.

Step-by-Step Workflow: From Idea to Video in 5 Steps

Here's a repeatable process to create a marketing video for your product or Notion template.

Step 1: Define Your Core Message

Before you open any tool, write down one sentence that captures your video's goal. For example: "Show how my Notion template helps users organize their week in under 10 minutes." This clarity will guide your prompts.

Step 2: Choose Your Input Type

In the AI Video Studio, you have three main input options:

Text-to-Video: Type a description of the scene you want.
Image-to-Video: Upload a product screenshot or a visual you've created.
Link-to-Video: Paste a product URL (like your Notion template's sales page) and let the AI generate a video based on that content.

For a product demo, image-to-video works well because you can show your actual interface. For a conceptual explainer, text-to-video is faster.

Step 3: Write a Detailed Prompt

Your prompt is the most important part. Be specific about the subject, action, style, and mood. Here's a template:

[Subject] in [setting], [action], [style], [lighting], [camera movement].

Example: "A clean, modern workspace with a laptop showing a Notion template, a person's hand clicking through the template, soft natural lighting, cinematic camera pan."

Step 4: Generate and Review

Click generate and wait for the video to render. Typical standard usage costs about 10 credits per video, but the exact cost depends on the model, duration, and resolution. New accounts get 21 signup credits, so you can test without a credit card. Review the output and decide if it matches your vision.

Step 5: Iterate and Refine

Don't expect perfection on the first try. Adjust your prompt, change the model, or tweak the parameters. The AI Video Studio lets you extend or upscale videos, so you can improve the resolution or length. Keep iterating until you're happy.

Reusable Prompts for Marketing Videos

Here are three prompts you can adapt for different marketing scenarios:

Product Demo: "A close-up of a smartphone displaying [your app], a finger tapping through the main features, bright and clean background, smooth camera movement."
Testimonial Style: "A person sitting in a cozy office, smiling and talking to the camera, with a blurred background of a laptop, warm lighting, shallow depth of field."
Explainer: "Animated icons representing [your product's benefits] floating over a soft gradient background, with a subtle zoom effect."

Common Pitfalls to Avoid

Vague prompts: "Make a video about my product" will give you generic results. Always include specific details.
Ignoring aspect ratio: If you're posting to Instagram Reels, you need vertical video. Check the aspect ratio settings in the studio before generating.
Not using image-to-video: If you have a strong visual, start from an image to maintain brand consistency.
Forgetting to review credits: Each generation costs credits. Keep an eye on your balance to avoid running out mid-project.
