For those who are new to this capability, Kling AI’s Face Model capability basically helps you produce a custom model of yourself that you can put into AI videos. It creates a virtual, realistic version of you, using video data that you upload to the Kling AI servers, and you can then use that model whenever you want to produce new AI videos.
The first part of this process involves training the AI so that it can build your custom model.
### Video Upload Guidelines for Face Model Training
Single Subject: Each video must highlight just one individual and should be filmed in a single session to ensure a uniform appearance (e.g., age, weight, makeup). Duration and Quality: Videos should last between 5-15 seconds and be recorded in 1080p resolution. Framing: The subject's face should fill 1/18 to 1/4 of the frame, ensuring clear visibility of facial capabilities. Maintain focus on the face throughout the recording. Action and Expression: Each video ought to display a single action or expression executed naturally at a regular pace. Repeating the action at intervals is permitted. Filming Setup: Refrain from using handheld selfies. Use a tripod or have another person film to ensure stability. You may slightly alter the background (e.g., changing camera angles) while keeping the lighting consistent—natural and balanced. Camera Stability: Use a fixed or stabilized camera to avoid shaking. Facial Consistency: ensure the left and right sides of the face remain consistent across clips. For instance, if a mole is located on the left side, it should consistently appear there in every video. Adjust mirrored footage if capturing selfies. No HDR Videos: Please refrain from uploading HDR (High Dynamic Range) videos for training purposes. Makeup: Makeup is optional but should remain consistent throughout all clips.
Consistent Makeup
Once you have made your own custom model through Kling AI’s Face Model capability, you can open using it in your next AI video creations. When you go to the text to video page, for instance, you’ll see a new box appear that helps you add your model to the video, and you can type in a written prompt of whatever you want to see your model doing.
When making new AI videos with your custom face model, you’re free to use all of the usual customization capabilities that Kling AI typically gives. That means you can choose from different durations and aspect ratios when making your video, for instance, and you can set the camera controls as desired and even add a negative prompt for an extra layer of control.
