Creating Facebook ads that convert often comes down to video. But not just any video—longer formats can tell a story, explain a product, and build trust. The challenge? Producing long videos from scratch is time-consuming and expensive. That's where a long video generator that works directly from product URLs changes the game.

In this guide, you'll learn a practical workflow to turn a simple product page into a long-form Facebook ad video using Van Gogh Studio (FreeVideoGenerator). No film crew, no complex editing software—just a few clicks and a clear plan.

Why Use a Long Video Generator for Facebook Ads?

Facebook's algorithm often rewards longer watch time. A 60-second video that keeps viewers engaged can outperform a 15-second clip in both reach and conversions. Long videos allow you to:

Showcase multiple product features
Include customer testimonials or use cases
Build a narrative arc that leads to a call-to-action

But producing long videos manually is a bottleneck. A long video generator automates the heavy lifting, especially when it can pull content directly from your product URL.

The Workflow: From Product URL to Long Facebook Ad

Here's a step-by-step process using Van Gogh Studio's Link to Video feature combined with the Long Video tool.

Step 1: Gather Your Product URL and Key Selling Points

Before you start, have your product page URL ready. Also, list 3–5 key selling points you want to highlight. For example, if you sell eco-friendly water bottles, your points might be: durable, BPA-free, keeps drinks cold for 24 hours, and comes in multiple colors.

Step 2: Generate a Base Video from Your Product URL

Go to the Link to Video feature on Van Gogh Studio. Paste your product URL and select the aspect ratio suitable for Facebook ads (e.g., 1:1 or 9:16). The AI will analyze the page and generate a short video clip that captures the essence of your product.

Tip: Use a product page that is clean and descriptive. The AI works best when the page has clear images and text.

Step 3: Extend the Video with the Long Video Tool

Once you have your base clip, open the Long Video tool. Upload the generated video and set your desired duration—say 60 seconds. The tool will extend the video by adding relevant scenes, transitions, and even text overlays to fill the longer format.

Parameter tip: Choose a style that matches your brand. If you're a premium brand, select a sleek, minimal style. For a fun product, go with vibrant and energetic.

Step 4: Add a Voiceover or Background Music

Long videos benefit from audio. Van Gogh Studio allows you to upload your own voiceover or select from a library of music tracks. If you don't have a voiceover, consider using the AI avatar feature to create a spokesperson.

Step 5: Review and Refine

The AI-generated video is a starting point. Watch it carefully. You can use the AI Video Studio to make adjustments: trim scenes, change text, or apply effects. The goal is to ensure the video flows naturally and highlights your key selling points.

Step 6: Export and Upload to Facebook Ads Manager

Once you're satisfied, export the video in the appropriate resolution and format. Then, upload it to Facebook Ads Manager as a new ad creative. Monitor performance and iterate based on metrics.

Reusable Prompts and Parameter Tips

While the tool is mostly automated, you can guide the AI with prompts. Here are a few examples:

For a product demo: "Show the product being used in everyday situations, highlighting its durability and convenience."
For a lifestyle angle: "Create a story of a person using the product during a morning routine, emphasizing the benefits."
For a problem-solution approach: "Start with a common problem, then introduce the product as the solution, and end with a call to action."

Parameter tips:

Use a 16:9 aspect ratio for in-feed ads, but test 1:1 for mobile placements.
Keep the video under 2 minutes for best engagement.
Add captions—many users watch without sound.

Common Pitfalls to Avoid

Overloading the video with features: Too many points can dilute your message. Focus on 2–3 core benefits.
Ignoring the first 3 seconds: Hook viewers immediately. Use a bold visual or a question.
Skipping the call-to-action: Always end with a clear CTA, like "Shop Now" or "Learn More."
Not testing variations: Create multiple versions with different hooks or CTAs to see what resonates.
