Pinterest is no longer just a place for static images. In 2026, video pins are a key way to capture attention, drive traffic, and showcase your brand. But creating video content can feel time-consuming and expensive. The good news? You can turn a simple text prompt into a polished video in minutes using AI tools. This guide walks you through a practical workflow to create Pinterest-ready videos from text, using a multi-model AI platform that makes the process simple.
Pinterest users are looking for inspiration, ideas, and solutions. Video pins that demonstrate a process, showcase a product, or tell a quick story tend to perform well. Instead of hiring a videographer or learning complex editing software, you can generate a video from a text description. This approach is fast, cost-effective, and allows you to produce multiple variations for A/B testing.
There are many AI video generators on the market, but not all are created equal. For Pinterest, you need a tool that offers:
Van Gogh Studio (also known as FreeVideoGenerator) is a good fit because it provides access to multiple models like Kling, Sora 2, Veo 3.1, Runway, and more, all in one subscription. You can start with a free account and get 21 signup credits to test the workflow.
Here's how to create a Pinterest video from a text prompt using the AI Text & Image to Video feature.
Go to freevideogenerator.io and create a free account. You'll receive 21 signup credits immediately, with no credit card required. This is enough to generate a few videos and see if the platform meets your needs.
The quality of your video depends heavily on your prompt. Be specific about the subject, action, setting, and mood. For Pinterest, think about what your target audience wants to see. For example, if you're promoting a DIY craft, describe the materials, the process, and the final result.
Example prompt for a DIY video:
"A close-up of hands painting a ceramic mug with floral patterns, bright natural light, cozy kitchen background, smooth camera movement, high detail, 4K quality."
In the AI Text & Image to Video tool, you'll see a model selector. Different models have different strengths—some are better for realistic footage, others for stylized animation. For Pinterest, you might want a model that produces clean, vibrant visuals. Check the live model selector to see what's available and what parameters you can adjust (like duration, resolution, and aspect ratio). For Pinterest, select a vertical aspect ratio (9:16) to fit the platform's layout.
Enter your prompt, adjust the settings, and click generate. The video will be created using your credits. Typical standard usage is about 10 credits per video, but the exact cost depends on the model, duration, resolution, and output type. You'll see the credit cost before you confirm.
Once the video is generated, review it. If it's not quite right, you can tweak your prompt and try again. You can also use the AI Video Studio to add effects, extend the video, or upscale it to higher resolution. This is where you can make your video stand out on Pinterest.
When you're happy with the result, download the video file. Then upload it to Pinterest as a video pin. Write a compelling description with relevant keywords to help it get discovered.
