Selling on Amazon FBA means your product page has to do the selling when you’re not around. Short clips are great for ads, but long videos—explainers, demos, brand stories—can answer questions, overcome objections, and build trust. The challenge is that generating a long, coherent video from a single prompt often feels hit-or-miss. This guide walks you through a practical workflow using a long video generator, complete with a reusable prompt library and common pitfalls to avoid.
Most AI video tools are built for short clips—5 to 10 seconds. That’s fine for social ads, but Amazon product pages, A+ Content, and even your own website often need longer videos that tell a story. A long video generator lets you create a narrative that flows from problem to solution, showing your product in action across multiple scenes.
Instead of stitching together dozens of short clips manually, you can generate a longer video in one go, saving time and keeping the visual style consistent. For Amazon FBA sellers, this means you can produce a 60-second explainer that highlights features, benefits, and use cases without hiring a video editor.
Here’s a repeatable process to get a usable long video for your Amazon listing.
Before you write a prompt, decide what the video should accomplish. Are you explaining how to use the product? Showing it in a lifestyle setting? Comparing it to a competitor? Write a one-sentence goal, then break it into a beginning, middle, and end.
For example, for a kitchen gadget: start with the problem (messy chopping), show the solution (the gadget), and end with a benefit (quick cleanup).
A long video generator works best when you give it a clear sequence. Instead of one vague sentence, describe each scene in order. Include visual details, camera angles, and any text overlays you want.
Here’s a template you can adapt:
"Create a 60-second product video for [product name]. Scene 1: Close-up of the product on a kitchen counter, soft lighting. Scene 2: A person’s hands using the product, showing the key feature. Scene 3: The product in a lifestyle setting, with a happy user. Scene 4: Text overlay: 'Save time and effort.' End with the product logo."
In the long video generator, you’ll see a model selector. Different models handle long videos differently—some are better at realistic motion, others at stylized animation. Check the live model selector to see what’s available and what parameters you can adjust. For product videos, you usually want a model that handles realistic scenes well.
Set the duration to your target length (e.g., 60 seconds) and choose an aspect ratio that fits your platform—16:9 for YouTube, 1:1 for Amazon, 9:16 for TikTok.
Run the generator and wait for the output. Review the video carefully. Look for glitches, unnatural motion, or scenes that don’t match your prompt. If something’s off, you can regenerate with tweaked prompts or use the video extend feature to add more footage.
Once you have a base video, you can use the AI Video Studio to add effects, adjust motion, or extend the video if it’s too short. You can also upscale it for higher resolution. This is where you polish the video to match your brand’s style.
Here are three prompts you can copy and adapt for different product types.
"A 60-second video for [product]. Start with a person struggling with [problem]. Then show the product solving the problem in a clear, satisfying way. Use bright, clean lighting. End with a call-to-action text: 'Get yours today.'"
"Create a 45-second lifestyle video for [product]. Show the product being used in a real-life setting, like a kitchen or office. Include close-ups of the product’s best features. Keep the mood upbeat and modern. Add subtle background music."
"Generate a 30-second video that highlights three key features of [product]. For each feature, show a close-up and a brief text overlay. Use a clean, minimal background. End with the product name and logo."
If you write “a video about my product,” you’ll get a generic result. Be specific about scenes, actions, and mood. The more detail you provide, the more control you have.
Not all models support long videos equally. Some may cap duration or have artifacts in longer generations. Check the model selector for limitations before you start.
AI video is iterative. You’ll likely need to regenerate or edit. Don’t get discouraged—use the feedback loop to refine your prompts.
Amazon and social platforms have different aspect ratio requirements. If you generate 16:9 for a TikTok ad, it’ll look wrong. Decide your platform first.
While the long video generator is your primary tool, you can combine it with other features on the platform:
