As a busy marketer, you know that video is the most engaging format for promoting your restaurant. But creating a polished promo video from scratch can eat up hours of your day—scripting, filming, editing, and adding music. You need a faster way to produce eye-catching video ads that drive orders and reservations.

Enter Link to Video from Van Gogh Studio (FreeVideoGenerator). This feature lets you paste a product URL—like your restaurant's menu page or a special offer landing page—and automatically generates ad-ready video creatives. No filming, no editing, no design skills required. In this guide, I'll walk you through a practical workflow to create a restaurant promo video in minutes, even if you're juggling a dozen other tasks.

Why Link to Video Beats Traditional Video Creation

Traditional video production for a restaurant promo involves:

Filming food shots, interior, and staff (requires equipment and time)
Editing clips, adding text overlays, and syncing music
Hiring freelancers or agencies (costly and slow)

Link to Video eliminates these bottlenecks. It uses AI to analyze your URL's content—images, text, and offers—and transforms them into a dynamic video with motion, text, and transitions. You get a professional-looking promo in minutes, not days.

Follow these steps to turn your restaurant's URL into a compelling video ad.

Step 1: Gather Your URL and Key Details

Choose the URL you want to promote. For a restaurant, this could be:

Your homepage (if you want a general brand video)
A specific menu page (to highlight dishes)
A landing page for a special offer (e.g., happy hour, weekend brunch)

Make sure the page is live and contains high-quality images and clear text. The AI will pull content from this page, so the better the page, the better the video.

Step 2: Access Link to Video on FreeVideoGenerator

Go to FreeVideoGenerator's Link to Video page. If you're new, you'll get 21 signup credits—no credit card required. This is enough to try the workflow and see the magic.

Step 3: Paste Your URL and Adjust Settings

Paste your restaurant URL into the designated field. Then, customize the video:

Aspect Ratio: Choose based on where you'll post (e.g., 16:9 for YouTube, 9:16 for Instagram Reels/TikTok, 1:1 for Facebook)
Duration: Keep it short—15-30 seconds is ideal for social media ads
Style: Pick a style that matches your brand (e.g., modern, elegant, playful)
Text Overlays: Add a headline or call-to-action like "Order Now" or "Book a Table"

You can also add background music from the platform's library or upload your own.

Step 4: Generate and Review

Click the generate button. The AI will process your URL and create a video. This typically takes a few minutes, but you'll get a preview to review. Check that the visuals align with your brand and that the text is accurate. If something's off, tweak the settings and regenerate.

Step 5: Download and Share

Once you're happy with the video, download it in high resolution. Then, share it across your channels: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, or even your website. You can also use it in paid ad campaigns.

Reusable Prompts and Parameter Tips

While Link to Video is automated, you can guide the AI with a short prompt to get better results. Here are three prompts you can adapt:

For a general promo: "Create a vibrant video showcasing our restaurant's ambiance and signature dishes, with a warm and inviting tone."
For a specific offer: "Highlight our weekend brunch special, including images of pancakes and mimosas, with a call-to-action to reserve a table."
For a seasonal campaign: "Make a festive video for our holiday dinner menu, using cozy colors and a cheerful soundtrack."

Parameter Tips:

Use a 9:16 aspect ratio for mobile-first platforms like Instagram Reels and TikTok.
Keep text overlays short and punchy—viewers scroll fast.
Choose a style that matches your restaurant's vibe (e.g., 'elegant' for fine dining, 'playful' for a casual café).

Common Pitfalls to Avoid

Using a poor-quality URL: If your page has low-res images or thin content, the video will look weak. Ensure your page is visually rich.
Ignoring aspect ratio: Posting a 16:9 video on Instagram Stories will result in awkward cropping. Always match the format to the platform.
Overloading text: Too much text on screen overwhelms viewers. Keep it to one key message.
Forgetting the CTA: A promo video without a clear call-to-action is a missed opportunity. Add "Order Now" or "Book a Table" with a link.

While Link to Video is perfect for quick promos, you might also need:
