Running a WooCommerce store means your product pages need to grab attention fast. Static images work, but video converts better—showing your product in action, highlighting details, and building trust. The problem? Most AI video tools slap a watermark on free exports, or they force you into a paid plan before you can test anything.

Van Gogh Studio (FreeVideoGenerator) solves that with a free tier that gives you 21 signup credits—no credit card required. You can generate product videos without a watermark and see if the workflow fits your store. In this guide, I’ll walk you through the exact steps to create a clean, watermark-free product video for your WooCommerce site, plus tips and pitfalls to avoid.

Why Use an AI Video Generator for WooCommerce?

You have two main options for product videos: hire a videographer (expensive and slow) or use an AI generator. AI video tools let you turn a product image or a simple text prompt into a short clip in minutes. For WooCommerce, that means you can refresh product pages, create social media ads, and even test video variations without a big budget.

Van Gogh Studio stands out because it’s a multi-model platform—you get access to models like Kling, Sora 2, Veo 3.1, Runway, Wan, and Seedance in one subscription. That means you can compare outputs and pick the style that fits your brand. And with the free tier, you can try it before committing.

Step-by-Step: Creating a Watermark-Free Product Video

Here’s how to go from product photo to a polished video for your WooCommerce store.

Step 1: Sign Up and Claim Your Free Credits

Go to freevideogenerator.io and create a new account. You’ll get 21 signup credits automatically—no credit card required. These credits are enough to generate a few videos and images, so you can test the platform risk-free.

Step 2: Open the AI Video Studio

Navigate to the AI Video Studio (the primary feature for this workflow). This is your all-in-one workspace for generating and iterating on videos. You’ll see options for text-to-video, image-to-video, and more.

Step 3: Choose Your Input Method

For a product video, you have two solid options:

Image-to-Video: Upload a high-quality product photo (e.g., a PNG or JPG). The AI will animate it—adding motion, camera pans, or subtle product movements.
Text-to-Video: Describe your product in a prompt. For example, “A sleek wireless mouse rotating on a clean white desk, soft studio lighting.”

If you have a product image already, image-to-video usually gives more accurate results because the AI has a reference.

Step 4: Select a Model and Parameters

In the studio, you’ll pick a model from the dropdown. Availability and parameters change, so check the live model selector for current options. For product videos, you might want a model known for realistic motion. Start with the default or a recommended model, then adjust:

Duration: Keep it short—5 to 10 seconds is ideal for product loops.
Resolution: Choose a resolution that matches your WooCommerce theme (e.g., 1080x1080 for square, 1920x1080 for wide).
Aspect Ratio: Square (1:1) works well for product pages; vertical (9:16) is better for social ads.

Step 5: Generate and Review

Click generate. The AI will process your request—this takes a few minutes, but the exact time varies. Once done, preview the video. If it’s not perfect, you can tweak the prompt or try a different model. Don’t be afraid to iterate; that’s the beauty of AI.

Step 6: Download Without Watermark

When you’re happy, download the video. Since you’re using your credits, the export is watermark-free. That’s the key—no ugly logo over your product.

Step 7: Upload to WooCommerce

In your WooCommerce dashboard, edit the product, and add the video to the product gallery or a custom field. Many themes support video in the gallery, or you can embed it via a shortcode. Make sure the video file is optimized for web (MP4, compressed) to keep page speed fast.

Reusable Prompts and Parameter Tips

Here are a few prompts you can adapt for your products:

For a cosmetic product: “A glass bottle of serum on a marble counter, water droplets, soft morning light, camera slowly zooming in.”
For a tech gadget: “A smartphone floating and rotating, showing the back panel, dark background with neon accents.”
For apparel: “A model wearing a denim jacket, walking on a city street, shallow depth of field, cinematic color grade.”

Parameter tips:

Use negative prompts if the model supports them (e.g., “no text, no watermark, no blur”).
For product videos, keep motion subtle—too much movement can distract from the product.
If you need a longer video, consider the extend feature in the studio to add more seconds.

Common Pitfalls to Avoid

Ignoring the free tier limits: You have 21 credits, so plan your tests. Don’t burn them all on one video; try a few variations.
Using low-quality source images: The AI works best with clear, well-lit product photos. A blurry image will give a blurry video.
Forgetting about aspect ratio: If your video doesn’t match your theme’s layout, it might get cropped. Check your WooCommerce theme’s recommended video dimensions.
Not checking model availability: Models change, so always verify in the live selector. Don’t assume a model from a blog post is still available.
