Agencies are constantly juggling client demands for more video content, faster turnarounds, and better conversion rates. But producing high-quality video at scale can be expensive and time-consuming. That's where a free AI video generator comes in. With the right workflow, you can create compelling video ads, social clips, and product demos that drive conversions—without blowing your budget.

In this guide, we'll walk through a practical, step-by-step process using the AI Video Studio from Van Gogh Studio (FreeVideoGenerator). You'll learn how to turn a simple product link into a conversion-focused video, optimize your prompts, and avoid common pitfalls that waste credits and time.

Why Use an AI Video Generator for Agency Work?

Traditional video production involves scripting, storyboarding, shooting, and editing—days or weeks of work. AI video generation compresses that timeline to minutes. For agencies, this means:

Faster iteration: Test multiple creative angles in a single afternoon.
Cost efficiency: No need for expensive equipment or talent for every concept.
Scalability: Produce variations for different platforms and audiences without extra production costs.

But not all AI video tools are equal. Some require a credit card upfront, others lock you into a single model. Van Gogh Studio stands out because it offers a free tier with 21 signup credits (no credit card required) and gives you access to multiple top-tier models like Kling, Sora 2, Veo 3.1, Runway, Wan, and Seedance—all from one dashboard.

Step-by-Step Workflow to Create Conversion-Focused Videos

Step 1: Sign Up and Explore the AI Video Studio

Head to freevideogenerator.io and create a free account. You'll receive 21 credits immediately—no credit card needed. These credits are enough to generate a few short videos and test the platform's capabilities.

Once logged in, navigate to the AI Video Studio. This is your command center for all video generation tasks. Familiarize yourself with the interface: you'll see options for text-to-video, image-to-video, and even link-to-video.

Step 2: Choose Your Input Method

For conversion-focused videos, you have two main options:

Text-to-Video: Write a script or description, and the AI generates a video from scratch.
Link-to-Video: Paste a product URL, and the AI pulls relevant information to create an ad-ready video. This is perfect for e-commerce clients.

If you're promoting a specific product, the Link-to-Video feature is a game-changer. It saves time by automatically extracting product details, images, and key selling points.

Step 3: Craft a Conversion-Oriented Prompt

Your prompt is the blueprint for the video. A vague prompt leads to generic results. Here's a formula for a conversion-focused prompt:

Identify the audience: Who are you speaking to? (e.g., busy moms, tech-savvy millennials)
Highlight the problem: What pain point does the product solve?
Show the solution: How does the product make life better?
Include a call to action: What should the viewer do next? (e.g., "Shop now," "Learn more")

Example prompt: "Create a 15-second video ad for a wireless earbud. Show a commuter struggling with tangled wires, then switching to our earbuds and enjoying a seamless, wire-free experience. End with the text 'Get yours today' and a subtle 'Shop Now' button."

Step 4: Select Model and Parameters

Van Gogh Studio gives you access to multiple AI models, each with its own strengths. For conversion videos, you might prefer a model known for realistic human motion or dynamic camera angles. However, availability and parameters can change, so check the live model selector in the studio for the latest options.

You'll also need to set parameters like duration, resolution, and aspect ratio. Keep in mind that these affect credit costs. A typical video costs around 10 credits, but the exact amount depends on the model, duration, resolution, and output type. Start with a shorter duration (e.g., 5–10 seconds) to test your prompt before committing to a longer video.

Step 5: Generate and Iterate

Click generate and wait for the AI to work its magic. Once the video is ready, review it critically. Does it align with your prompt? Is the messaging clear? If not, tweak your prompt and regenerate. The beauty of AI is that you can iterate quickly without extra production costs.

Step 6: Enhance with Effects and Motion Control

If the video feels flat, use the AI Video Studio's built-in effects and motion control to add polish. You can apply filters, adjust camera movement, or even extend the video if you need a longer cut. These tools help you create a more engaging final product.

Step 7: Export and Deliver

Once you're satisfied, export the video in the appropriate format for your client's platform—whether that's Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, or a website hero video. Deliver it to your client with a clear explanation of the creative choices and how it's designed to drive conversions.

Reusable Prompts and Parameter Tips

Here are a few more prompts you can adapt for different scenarios:

Product demo: "Show a close-up of [product] being used in a real-life scenario. Highlight its key features with text overlays. End with a strong call to action."
Testimonial-style: "Create a video of a satisfied customer explaining how [product] solved their problem. Use a warm, authentic tone."
Limited-time offer: "Generate a high-energy video announcing a 20% discount on [product]. Use bold colors and countdown elements."

Parameter tips:

For social media ads, use a 9:16 aspect ratio (vertical) to maximize mobile screen real estate.
Keep videos short (5–15 seconds) for better retention and lower credit usage.
Use the 'extend' feature to lengthen a video that's almost perfect but needs a few more seconds.

Common Pitfalls to Avoid

Vague prompts: The AI can't read your mind. Be specific about the scene, tone, and message.
Ignoring credit costs: While 21 free credits are generous, they can run out quickly if you generate long videos or use expensive models. Monitor your credit usage in the dashboard.
Skipping iteration: The first generation isn't always perfect. Plan to iterate at least 2–3 times to get the best result.
Forgetting the call to action: A conversion-focused video must have a clear CTA. If your prompt doesn't include one, the AI might not add it.

While the AI Video Studio is your go-to for video generation, Van Gogh Studio offers other features that can complement your agency's work:

AI Text/Image to Video: If you have a static image or a script, this tool can turn it into a dynamic video. Perfect for repurposing existing assets. Learn more
Link to Video: As mentioned, this feature turns product URLs into ad-ready videos. It's a huge time-saver for e-commerce clients. Try it here
