Local businesses are using AI video generators to create promo clips, social ads, and website hero videos. But AI-generated footage can have subtle issues: wrong storefront details, garbled text, or unnatural motion. A quick QA checklist helps you catch these before publishing.

In this guide, you’ll learn a practical QA workflow using the AI Video Studio at Van Gogh Studio (FreeVideoGenerator). You’ll also get reusable prompts and common pitfalls to avoid.

Why a QA Checklist Matters for Local Business Videos

When you generate a video for a local business, you’re representing a real place. A misspelled street name, a wrong logo, or a distorted building can hurt trust. A QA checklist ensures your AI video looks professional and accurate.

You can either manually review every frame (slow) or use a structured checklist (fast and repeatable). The checklist below is designed for AI-generated videos, not traditional footage.

Step-by-Step QA Workflow in AI Video Studio

Step 1: Generate Your Video with a Clear Prompt

Start in the AI Video Studio. Write a prompt that includes specific details about the business: name, location, products, and desired mood. For example:

"A 10-second video of a cozy coffee shop in Austin, Texas, with warm lighting, a barista pouring latte art, and the shop's name 'Bluebonnet Coffee' visible on the window."

Include the business name and any text you want to appear. This makes QA easier later.

Step 2: Check the First and Last Frames

AI videos often have the most errors at the start and end. Pause on the first frame and the last frame. Look for:

Blurry or distorted faces
Text that is cut off or misspelled
Objects that appear or disappear suddenly

If the first or last frame looks bad, consider regenerating or trimming the video.

Step 3: Review Text and Branding Elements

If your video includes text (like a business name or a slogan), zoom in and read it carefully. AI models often struggle with small text. Check:

Spelling and punctuation
Font consistency
Text placement (does it overlap important elements?)

If text is wrong, you can either regenerate with a clearer prompt or add text overlay in an editor.

Step 4: Verify Motion and Physics

AI-generated motion can look unnatural. Watch the video at normal speed and then at 0.5x speed. Look for:

People walking with glitchy legs
Objects floating or passing through each other
Water or smoke behaving oddly

If motion is off, try using the motion control features in the AI Video Studio to adjust camera movement or object motion.

Step 5: Check for Brand Consistency

For local businesses, brand colors and logos matter. Compare the video to the business’s actual branding. Ask:

Are the colors close to the brand palette?
Is the logo recognizable, or is it distorted?
Does the overall vibe match the business’s style?

If the brand is off, you can use the image-to-video feature to start from a brand image.

Step 6: Test on Different Devices

Your video will be viewed on phones, tablets, and desktops. Export the video and play it on at least two devices. Check:

Aspect ratio (does it crop important content?)
Text legibility on small screens
Audio (if any) is clear and not distorted

If the aspect ratio is wrong, regenerate with the correct settings or use the video upscaler.

Step 7: Get a Second Opinion

Ask a colleague or friend to watch the video without context. They might spot issues you missed. Use their feedback to decide whether to regenerate or edit.

Reusable Prompts and Parameter Tips

Use these prompts as starting points for local business videos:

For a restaurant: "A 15-second video of a family-owned Italian restaurant in Chicago, with a chef tossing pizza dough, warm ambient lighting, and the restaurant's name 'Nonna's Kitchen' on a chalkboard."
For a salon: "A 10-second video of a modern hair salon in Seattle, with a stylist cutting a client's hair, soft natural light, and the salon's logo on the mirror."
For a retail store: "A 12-second video of a boutique clothing store in Portland, with a customer browsing racks, colorful displays, and the store's name 'Willow & Thread' on a sign."

Parameter tips:

Use a lower duration (5–10 seconds) for easier QA.
Choose a higher resolution if you plan to zoom in on details.
Use the motion control feature to keep the camera steady if you need clear text.

Common Pitfalls to Avoid

Skipping the first-frame check: Many AI videos have a glitchy start. Always pause on frame one.
Ignoring text errors: AI often misspells words. Always zoom in on any text.
Using too many effects: Overusing effects can make the video look fake. Keep it simple for local business content.
Not checking brand colors: AI may not match your exact brand palette. Use a reference image if needed.
Forgetting to test on mobile: Most local customers will watch on their phones. Always test the mobile view.
