Creating video ads for Facebook can be time-consuming and expensive. You need to script, film, edit, and optimize—often for multiple ad variations. AI avatar videos offer a faster, cost-effective alternative: you can generate a talking avatar that delivers your message without a camera, actor, or studio. This guide walks you through building an AI avatar video prompt library for Facebook ads using Van Gogh Studio (FreeVideoGenerator). You'll learn how to craft effective prompts, generate videos, and avoid common pitfalls.

Why Use AI Avatars for Facebook Ads?

Traditional video production is resource-heavy. AI avatars let you create professional-looking spokesperson videos at scale. You can test different scripts, voices, and avatars quickly, which is ideal for Facebook's dynamic ad environment. With Van Gogh Studio's AI Avatar feature, you can generate talking avatar videos with many voice options—all within a single platform that also offers text-to-video, image-to-video, and more.

Step-by-Step Workflow

Step 1: Define Your Ad Objective and Script

Before generating anything, know what you want the avatar to say. Write a short, conversational script (30–60 seconds) that addresses a pain point, introduces your product, and includes a clear call-to-action. For example:

"Tired of wasting time on manual data entry? Meet DataBot—the tool that automates your spreadsheets. Try it free today!"

Keep it simple and focused on one message per video.

Step 2: Access the AI Avatar Tool

Go to Van Gogh Studio's AI Avatar page. You'll need to create a free account—new accounts receive 21 signup credits, no credit card required. Once logged in, navigate to the AI Avatar section.

Step 3: Craft Your Prompt

In the AI Avatar tool, you'll provide a text prompt that describes the avatar and the video. Use the prompt library below as a starting point. The prompt should include:

Avatar appearance: age, gender, style (e.g., "professional woman in her 30s wearing a blazer")
Setting/background: office, studio, neutral background
Tone: friendly, authoritative, enthusiastic
Action: talking directly to camera, gestures

Example prompt:

"A professional woman in her 30s, wearing a navy blazer, standing in a modern office, speaking directly to the camera with a friendly tone. She is explaining the benefits of a productivity app."

Step 4: Choose Voice and Generate

Select a voice that matches your brand (many voice options are available). Then click generate. The platform will create your avatar video. Typical standard usage is approximately 10 credits per video, but actual cost depends on model, duration, resolution, and output type—check the live model selector for specifics.

Step 5: Review and Refine

Once generated, review the video. Check lip-sync accuracy, tone, and pacing. If something is off, tweak your prompt and regenerate. You can also use the AI Video Studio to add effects, extend the video, or upscale it.

Step 6: Export and Use in Facebook Ads

Export your video in the appropriate format for Facebook (MP4 recommended). Then upload it to Facebook Ads Manager. You can create multiple variations by changing the script or avatar, allowing for A/B testing.

Reusable Prompts for Facebook Ads

Here are three prompt templates you can adapt:

Product Demo: "A [avatar description] explaining how [product] solves [problem]. Show enthusiasm and highlight key features."
Testimonial Style: "A [avatar description] sharing a success story about using [product]. Speak as if you're a satisfied customer."
Limited-Time Offer: "A [avatar description] announcing a special discount on [product]. Urgency in voice, clear call-to-action."

Remember to include specific details about your product and target audience for better results.

Common Pitfalls to Avoid

Overloading the script: Keep it short and focused. Long scripts can lead to unnatural pacing.
Ignoring audio quality: Choose a clear, professional voice. Avoid robotic tones if possible.
Not testing variations: Facebook ads perform best with multiple creatives. Generate several avatar videos with different angles.
Forgetting the call-to-action: Every ad should have a clear next step.
Assuming unlimited generation: Credits and plan limits apply. Check the pricing page for current allowances.
