Running a Shopify store means competing for attention in a crowded feed. Static product photos often get ignored, but video—especially a talking avatar—can stop the scroll and explain your product in seconds. This guide walks you through creating an AI avatar video for your Shopify store using FreeVideoGenerator (Van Gogh Studio). You'll go from product idea to a ready-to-post video in a few steps.

Why Use an AI Avatar for Your Shopify Store?

An AI avatar video lets you add a human touch without hiring actors or renting a studio. You can create a spokesperson who introduces your product, highlights benefits, or answers FAQs. This is especially useful for:

Product demos: Show how your item works while an avatar explains.
Social ads: Create engaging UGC-style videos for TikTok or Instagram.
Email marketing: Add a personal message to your campaigns.
Product pages: Embed a video that explains features and builds trust.

Compared to hiring a video creator, AI avatars are faster and more affordable. You can generate multiple variations to test different scripts and voices.

Step-by-Step: Creating Your AI Avatar Video

Here's how to make an AI avatar video with FreeVideoGenerator's AI Avatar feature.

Step 1: Sign Up and Get Your Free Credits

Go to FreeVideoGenerator and create a free account. You'll receive 21 signup credits—no credit card required. These credits let you test the AI Avatar feature without any upfront cost.

Step 2: Open the AI Avatar Tool

Navigate to the AI Avatar section from the dashboard. You'll see options to choose an avatar, write a script, and select a voice.

Step 3: Choose Your Avatar

Pick an avatar that fits your brand. You can choose from a variety of realistic or stylized characters. If you have a specific look in mind, check the available options in the tool.

Step 4: Write a Script for Your Shopify Product

Your script should be short and benefit-focused. Aim for 30–60 seconds. Here's a template you can adapt:

"Hi, I'm [Avatar Name]. Are you tired of [problem]? Our [product name] solves that with [key benefit]. It's [feature] and [feature]. Try it today and see the difference!"

Keep it conversational and direct. Avoid long sentences—viewers lose interest quickly.

Step 5: Select a Voice and Generate

Choose a voice that matches your brand's tone. You can preview different voices before generating. Once you're happy, click Generate. The video will be created using your credits. Typical standard usage is about 10 credits per video, but the exact cost depends on the model, duration, and resolution.

Step 6: Download and Use Your Video

After generation, download the video. You can upload it to your Shopify product page, use it in ads, or share it on social media.

Reusable Prompts and Parameter Tips

To get the best results, use these tips:

Script length: Keep it under 100 words for a 30-second video.
Clear calls to action: Include a specific action like "Shop now" or "Visit our store."
Mention the product name: Repetition helps with brand recall.
Test different voices: A friendly voice works for lifestyle products; a professional voice suits tech or finance.

Common Pitfalls to Avoid

Overloading the script: Too much information makes the video feel rushed. Focus on one main benefit.
Ignoring aspect ratio: Check the platform where you'll post. For Instagram Reels, use vertical; for YouTube, use horizontal. The tool may have preset options.
Skipping the preview: Always preview the avatar and voice before generating to avoid wasting credits.
Not checking model availability: The AI Avatar feature uses different models. Availability and parameters can change, so check the live model selector for current options.

Once you have your avatar video, you might want to expand it or add effects. FreeVideoGenerator offers several tools that work well together:

Long Video: If you need a longer video for YouTube or a webinar, use the Long Video tool.
AI Video Studio: Add effects, motion control, or upscale your video with the AI Video Studio.
Pricing: Check the latest plans and credit allowances on the Pricing page.
