Free AI Video Generator Production Checklist for WooCommerce: Step-by-Step Guide

Creating product videos for your WooCommerce store can feel like a never-ending task. You need visuals for new arrivals, ads for social media, and updates for bestsellers—all while managing inventory, customer service, and everything else. A free AI video generator can cut production time from hours to minutes, but only if you follow a solid workflow. This guide gives you a practical, step-by-step checklist to produce polished product videos using Van Gogh Studio (FreeVideoGenerator).

Why Use an AI Video Generator for WooCommerce?

Traditional video production requires cameras, lighting, actors, and editing software. For a small e-commerce team, that’s expensive and slow. AI video generation lets you turn text prompts or product images into short, engaging clips that showcase your items in action. You can create lifestyle shots, explainer videos, or even UGC-style ads without leaving your desk. The best part: you can start for free, test the workflow, and scale up when you see results.

Step-by-Step Production Checklist

Step 1: Define Your Video Goal and Audience

Before you generate anything, decide what the video should accomplish. Are you creating a product demo, a social media teaser, or a customer testimonial-style ad? Your goal determines the script, visuals, and tone. For example, a product demo might focus on close-ups and features, while a social ad might emphasize lifestyle and emotion.

Step 2: Write a Clear, Descriptive Prompt

The quality of your AI video depends heavily on your prompt. Be specific about the subject, setting, camera movement, and mood. Instead of “a red dress,” write “a flowing red dress on a mannequin in a bright studio, slow pan from hem to neckline, soft lighting, clean background.” Include details like lighting, color palette, and any text overlays you want.

Step 3: Choose Your Input Method

Van Gogh Studio offers multiple ways to start:

• Text-to-Video: Type your prompt directly.
• Image-to-Video: Upload a product photo and animate it.
• Link to Video: Paste a product URL and let the AI extract key details to generate a video.

For WooCommerce, image-to-video is often the fastest because you already have product photos. Link to Video is great when you have a detailed product page.

Step 4: Select a Model and Adjust Parameters

In the AI Video Studio, you’ll see a model selector. Different models (like Kling, Sora 2, Veo 3.1, Runway, Wan, Seedance) have different strengths. Some excel at realistic motion, others at stylized looks. Check the live model selector for current options and parameters. Adjust resolution, duration, and aspect ratio based on where you’ll post the video (e.g., 9:16 for Instagram Stories, 16:9 for YouTube).

Step 5: Generate and Review

Click generate and wait for the output. Review the video carefully. Does it match your prompt? Is the motion smooth? Are there any glitches? If not, tweak your prompt or try a different model. Don’t be afraid to iterate—generation is fast and credits are affordable.

Step 6: Enhance with Effects and Extend

Once you have a base video, you can use the AI Video Studio’s effects to add polish. Apply filters, add motion control, or extend the video to make it longer. You can also upscale the resolution for a crisper look. These tools help you create a more professional final product.

Step 7: Export and Upload to WooCommerce

When you’re happy with the video, export it in the appropriate format. Then upload it to your WooCommerce product page, social media, or ad platform. Remember to compress if needed to keep page load times fast.

Reusable Prompts and Parameter Tips

Here are three prompts you can adapt for your products:

1. Product Close-Up: “Close-up of [product name] on a clean white background, rotating slowly, soft studio lighting, high detail, 4K.”
2. Lifestyle Scene: “Person using [product name] in a bright modern kitchen, natural light, candid style, shallow depth of field.”
3. UGC Ad Style: “Hand holding [product name] and showing it to the camera, talking to the viewer, authentic vlog style, indoor setting.”

Parameter tips:

• Use a 9:16 aspect ratio for TikTok/Reels, 1:1 for feed posts, and 16:9 for YouTube.
• Keep videos under 15 seconds for social ads to maintain attention.
• If you need a longer video, use the extend feature rather than generating from scratch.

Common Pitfalls to Avoid

• Vague prompts: “A shoe” will give you a generic shoe. Be specific about angle, lighting, and motion.
• Ignoring model differences: Not all models handle motion the same way. Experiment to find what works for your product type.
• Skipping review: Always watch the generated video before publishing. AI can produce odd artifacts.
• Forgetting aspect ratio: Posting a 16:9 video on Instagram Stories will look cropped. Choose the right ratio upfront.
• Overloading with effects: Too many effects can make your video look unnatural. Use them sparingly.
